TORONTO, ON (August 13, 2013) - As calls for a national Inquiry into missing and murdered Aboriginal women are dismissed by the federal Tories in Canada, the list of suspicious deaths of First Nations women in Ontario mounts.

Dec. 23/16 - Third party experts by Henvey Inlet First Nation gave the nod to the environmental assessment (EA) conducted by Aecom. However, they did give numerous recommendations, most of which, have been reflected in the presentation on December 15th to community members in Henvey Inlet First Nation.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has addressed the Assembly of First Nations in Gatineau, QC today. He promised to renew the relationship with First Nations.
The prime minister said his government would immediately move on the five promises the Liberals made during the recent election campaign:

Henvey Inlet First Nation - The baseball field in the community is getting a facelift – that’s thanks to a Trillium Foundation grant of $60,000.
HIFN had applied for the grant last year, which they were successful in receiving. However, leadership deferred the grant to be spent this year.

The Elementary School Bus Driver reports to the Education Counsellor and is responsible for transporting students of various ages to and from their homes and respective schools in a timely and safe manner and in accordance with MTO driving regulations, Ontario traffic laws and safe driving practices. This position requires excellent organization, communication and customer service skills.

In the 1950s, the Indian Boarding Homes Program placed First Nations and Inuit children in private homes for the purpose of attending school. This Settlement provides compensation to people placed in these homes. You are a Primary Class Member if Canada placed you in a private home, between September 1, 1951 and June 30, 1992. You may still be eligible if you were placed after June 30, 1992. People who were placed in private homes, but died on or after July 24, 2016, may also be eligible, and their estate can apply on their behalf.
