HIFN Leadership is preparing to settle the James Bay Railway Specific Claim Process with Canada. Through Canada's process, the settlement agreement has to be agreed upon by eligible voting members.
The Community Input Meeting to discuss the Environmental Permit for the wind farm has been postponed.
The meeting was originally scheduled for this coming Sunday 07 February. A new date will be posted shortly.
If you've paid taxes (HST) and kept your receipts for purchases made last year (January 2013 - December 2013) at the grocery store, or anywhere, like a shoe store, convenience store, or drive thru for take-out food, then you can apply for a refund of the PST portion of your receipt.

POSITION SUMMARY
Henvey Inlet First Nation is a casual Gas Bar Attendant to join our Administration. The Gas Bar Attendant reports to the Gas Bar Manager and is responsible for the sale of fuel and other automotive products and in-store merchandise, including tobacco products. The Gas Bar Attendant is also responsible for processing all point-of-sale transactions via cash, credit or debit card using an electronic scanner and cash register. This position requires a high level of personal integrity and superior customer service skills.

Henvey Inlet First Nation is seeking a temporary, full-time Janitor to join our Administration for a short term 10-week contract. The Janitor reports to the Administration Manager and is responsible for cleaning all HIFN commercial buildings at the end of each business day. The Janitor will perform general cleaning duties including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and stocking restrooms, washing walls and windows, cleaning the kitchen and fridge, disinfecting all high-touch surfaces and trash removal. This position requires strong self-motivation, great attention-to-detail and excellent time-management skills.
