Call for Proposals: Web Design for Henvey Inlet First Nation's Child and Family Wellbeing Project
Henvey Inlet First Nation (HIFN) invites proposals from qualified and creative web design professionals or firms to develop a dedicated website for their Child and Family Wellbeing Project.
This important initiative, supported by Indigenous Services Canada, aims to reassert HIFN’s jurisdiction over the care and protection of its children and families.
About the Project
The HIFN Child and Family Wellbeing Project is a community-driven effort to create laws, policies, and administrative systems to govern the care and protection of HIFN children and families.
The project is guided by a Band Council Resolution passed in December 2022, reaffirming HIFN's commitment to reclaiming jurisdiction over its children. Community engagement, data collection, and collaboration with project partners are central to this initiative.
Scope
We seek a web designer or firm to:
- Collaborate with the HIFN Child and Family Wellbeing team, including the Child and Family Wellbeing Working Group and project consultant firm and law firm, to design a culturally relevant, user-friendly, and informative website.
- Reflect project goals by highlighting community engagement efforts, project milestones, and ongoing developments related to the wellbeing of HIFN children and families.
- Integrate multimedia elements such as videos, graphics, and interactive tools to engage users and collect feedback.
- Develop a content management system (CMS) that allows for easy updates by project staff.
- Ensure accessibility: The website must be mobile-friendly, optimized for search engines (SEO), and compliant with web accessibility standards.
- Provide training and support to project staff on managing and maintaining the website post-launch.
