Subject: Back-to-School Update – Timetables, Schedule Changes & September 2 Start
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we count down to the start of the school year on September 2, I’d like to share a few important updates to help you, and your child feel prepared and informed.
📋 Student Timetables – Still in Progress
Student timetables are now visible on Edsby; however, they are still being finalized. Our guidance counsellors are working diligently to ensure each schedule reflects students’ academic needs and goals.
Here’s what to expect over the coming days:
- Ongoing Adjustments: Timetables may change as we continue refining schedules. Changes can take up to 24 hours to be reflected in Edsby.
- Semester 1 Priority: Guidance staff are prioritizing the completion of Semester 1 timetables to support a smooth start to the school year. Students who are still missing a semester 1 course on the first day of school can visit student services to discuss solutions.
- Semester 2 & Course Changes: Requests for voluntary course changes and Semester 2 adjustments will be addressed after all students have a finalized Semester 1 timetable.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure every student is set up for success.
🔄 Changes to the School Timetable
This year, we’ve made some thoughtful adjustments to the daily schedule to better support student learning, ensure appropriate supervision, and create more opportunities for enrichment and collaboration. The new bell times are as follows:

We believe this structure will provide a more consistent rhythm to the day and allow students to engage more deeply in their learning while also having ample time to recharge during lunch.
As a reminder, we continue with a 2-day schedule. We will be departing from this for the first day of classes. Therefore, September 2 will be a day 1 as will September 3. This is to facilitate Homeform activities for the first two days of classes.

Our dedicated staff have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure classrooms are set up, resources are in place, and the school is ready to welcome students. From custodial teams to educators, everyone is pitching in to create a safe, supportive environment for the year ahead.
