Flagger/Labourer x 2
POSITION SUMMARY
Pickerel Contracting Ltd. Is currently seeking Labourer/flagger to join our team. You will report to the foreman/manager; duties include but not limited to traffic control, and safety procedures, to be successful in this role, you should be knowledgeable of construction, safety regulations, willing to learn on the job, be able to work in increment weather exceptional communication, team player, time management, and problem-solving skills.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with set up and take down of construction sites (signs, cones, barricades etc.)
• Communicate effectively with crew members, site supervisors and the public.
• Operate 2-way radio and other communication equipment.
• Direct and control traffic safely around construction sites using flags, signs and hand signals.
• Record keeping i.e. Pre/post trips on vehicles, Logbook (report to supervisor tag outs), load tickets, fuel receipts timecards etc.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Be environmentally conscious and follow guidelines.
• Respect and respond to direction given by Supervisor, Managers, Board of Directors and Chief and Council
QUALIFICATIONS:
• valid G driver's license an asset
• A clean driving abstract.
• Equipment Tickets and experience an asset
• Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Able to lift 50lbs, stand/sit/crouching for long periods of time.
• Current First Aid and CPR Level C
• Previous experience preferred
• Professional attitude and a strong work ethic
• Must be able to work as team and individually: self -directed
• High school diploma or GED.
HOURS OF WORK
Full-Time - 40+hrs/week

$20- $22
