Restricted Access to Administration Building (Band Office)
In order to practice social distancing, you will find that the front door to the Administration office is locked. We continue to take the threat of COVID 19 very seriously and in an attempt to prevent exposure to staff and member alike, we have taken this precaution for safety reasons. During these unprecedented times, the finance staff that report to work are realizing there is limited time to process the numerous new transactions in addition to their regular duties, and we appreciate everyone's patience, as we attempt to complete everything on time. If you have any questions or concerns relating to a financial matter, I ask that you make all inquiries in a respective manner, as staff have been advised to respond. -
Restricted Access (Roadblocks) Pickerel R Rd. and Bekanon Rd.
The restricted access via the roadblocks that are currently in place, were created to protect members from an unimaginable viral threat that could have fatal consequences. But recently, another security threat is concerning; members driving under the influence. If you will recall, in the 7th COVID 19 Update, the issue of how the security teams have been instructed to deal with drivers under the influence was mentioned. The directive to security is; if a driver is suspected or clearly under the influence of alcohol and attempting to come into the community, the driver will not be permitted to cross the security gate but will be asked to park their vehicle, and allowed to walk in. We understand that the security teams put in place are not there to act as OPP, but if a member decides to drink and drive, and wants to leave the community, know this, security has been advised to call the OPP and report it.
