Community Approval Vote will be held in accordance with the HIFN Land Code

TO: MEMBERS OF HENVEY INLET FIRST NATION

TAKE NOTICE that a Community Approval Vote will be held in accordance with the Henvey Inlet First Nation Land Code on: Sunday, August 9, 2015 in order to determine if Eligible Voters approve the following:

Are you in favour of the following Land Law approving the grant of a lease, for the proposed wind energy generation centre and related uses, for a term which may exceed 35 years:

LAND LAW 2015/16-006

  1. A lease of the lands within Henvey Inlet I.R. #2 described in the Schedule, shall be granted to Henvey Inlet Wind GP Inc. in its capacity as general partner of Henvey Inlet Wind Limited Partnership, for the proposed Henvey Inlet Wind Energy Generation Centre and related uses, for a term which, inclusive of extensions, may exceed 35 years.
  1. The lease shall be in substantially the form adopted by Council on 20 May 2014, available for inspection in the Band Administration Office.

The Ratification Vote will take place on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from  10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at:

AND FURTHER TAKE that all Members of Henvey Inlet First Nation 18 years of age or older as of the date of the Ratification Vote are eligible to vote.

All Eligible Voters have been mailed a voting package as of July 4, 2015 for which an address has been provided by the Henvey Inlet First Nation.

If you have not received a package by July 11, 2015, please contact the Ratification Officer’s office by e-mail or at 705-741-3773 and a package will be sent to you.

Henvey Inlet First Nation is seeking a temporary, part-time Adult Education Teacher to join our Administration for a six-month contract. The Adult Education Teacher reports to the Education Counsellor and is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages adult students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. The Adult Education Teacher is also responsible for supervising and evaluating students’ progress and understanding of the school board’s curricula while maximizing student-learning experiences. This position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong leadership skills.
