UPDATE on the Wind Farm Environmental Permit
At the Community Input meeting on Sunday, January 24th, our Lands Advisory Committee advised that HIFN’s draft Environmental Permit was still being reviewed by HIFN’s 3rd party experts (Arcadis and Savanta).
Our experts need some additional time to take into consideration some discussions between HIFN, Canada Wildife Service and the Project concerning the approach to species at risk.
The Lands Advisory Committee recommended that the discussion of the wind farm Environmental Permit should be adjourned for two weeks to give our experts time to complete their review.
The Community Input Meeting will be re-convened on Sunday, 07 February 2016, at1:00 pmat the Fire Hall on the Pickerel Reserve.
